• Mike Newton is Managing Director of Cross-Asset Strategy, based in New York. He joined Citi in May 2017. Mike began his professional career at the Bank of England. He was a member of HSBC’s Asian economics and strategy team from 2000 to 2004 before relocating to the United States to run the bank’s global EM FX strategy business. He has since been a macro trader at Citadel and Caxton, and most recently was CIO for equities at the Cambridge Strategy LLC. Mike was educated at King’s College, University of Cambridge
